Point Your Domain Name Servers To A2 Domains
If your domain name registration can't be transferred to A2 Domains, you can still use it with our professional website hosting and email services, simply by pointing it to our nameservers.Step 1
Open A Free A2 Domains AccountFirst, you'll need your own free A2 Domains account.
It's easy - your account will be activated and ready to use immediately.
Step 2
Choose A PackageLog into your A2 Domains account and select "Hosting" or "Email" from the packages menu on the left panel.
Then simply follow the on-screen instructions to set up your domain name with the website hosting or email package of your choice.
Step 3
Change Your Domain NameserversOnce you've set up your new package in your A2 Domains account, ask your current provider to change your domain's nameservers to the following:
- ns1.livedns.co.uk
- ns2.livedns.co.uk
Nameserver changes may take up to 72 hours. This will point your domain name to our servers, enabling it to work with your new website hosting and email - it really is that easy!
If you change the nameservers on your domain name and it is not the exact spelling it
will not connect to the correct server. Please check these details carefully.
When you transfer your domain to us your existing hosting package will cease to work and thus your existing website will also cease to work. To resolve this you will need to either upload a copy of all the website files to our new hosting package, or arrange for us to create a brand new website for you. If you have any questions on this matter, please use our Contact Page or Live Phone Support for assistance.
